In short: A cosy anime room needs three things: warm light instead of the ceiling lamp, plenty of soft things to curl up in and an evening with ramen and a calm show. Here you will find ideas with lamps, blankets and cushions from One Piece, Naruto, Demon Slayer and The Apothecary Diaries, a ramen recipe like at Ichiraku and five anime for long winter evenings.
Naruto has a clear cure for bad days: a bowl of ramen at Ichiraku, preferably with extra pork. The shop is small, the counter is cramped and still it is the cosiest place in all of Konoha. With a few simple touches, you can bring that feeling home.
I'll show you how to turn your room into an anime room you will happily hide away in come November. With warm light, blankets from your favourite anime and a bowl of ramen on your lap. Everything else for your corner is waiting in our anime merch.
Light in your anime room: warm, not harsh
First things first: switch off the ceiling light. A cosy anime room lives on small islands of light that glow warmly and divide the room into corners.
My favourite piece for this is the One Piece Hito Hito Devil Fruit lamp with LED. Chopper ate the Human-Human Fruit and ever since, the reindeer has been half human and all heart. On a stack of manga, the lamp looks like a little campfire. Don't take a bite, though, or you will never be able to swim again.

For a shelf or window, try the KPop Demon Hunters ramen fairy lights. Little ramen bowls as lights are the most honest decor for everyone whose favourite scenes mostly happen at the dinner table.
Snuggle up: blankets and cushions for anime fans
An anime room only becomes truly cosy when there is somewhere to wrap yourself up. A big blanket and a few cushions turn any bed into a sofa and any sofa into a den.
The Demon Slayer group fleece blanket shows Tanjiro and his friends and is big enough to hide in completely. Handy if there are demons about, or just November weather.

Add the Naruto Shippuden Akatsuki symbol cushion in the shape of the red cloud. The Akatsuki were not exactly known for cosiness, but their logo as a cushion certainly is.
Ichiraku ramen at home: a recipe like Naruto's
At Ichiraku, Naruto's favourite order is miso ramen with chashu, meaning pork. This version for two bowls skips the hours of simmering and still tastes like Konoha.
Bring one litre of chicken stock to the boil and add a finely chopped clove of garlic and a thumb-sized piece of grated ginger. Let it simmer gently for ten minutes. Meanwhile, boil two eggs for six and a half minutes, cool them in cold water and peel them. Fry 200 grams of thinly sliced pork belly in a pan until crispy, or use tofu if you prefer it vegetarian. Take the stock off the heat and stir in two tablespoons of light miso paste, one tablespoon of soy sauce and one teaspoon of sesame oil. Don't let the miso boil again, or it loses its aroma. Cook two portions of ramen noodles according to the packet, divide them between two bowls and pour the broth over them. Top with the pork, the halved eggs, two sliced spring onions and a piece of nori. If you can find narutomaki at an Asian supermarket, the white fish cakes with a pink swirl, add two slices. True fans will recognise the name.
Serve it in the One Piece Monkey D. Luffy ramen bowl with chopsticks. Luffy would have ordered three portions, but one is enough to start with.

Anime night: five cosy anime for winter evenings
After dinner comes the show. Calm stories that you can watch with your eyes half closed are perfect for a cosy anime night.
Top of my list is Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. An elf mage travels through a world that is slowly changing and learns what people meant to her along the way. Quiet, warm and a little melancholic, like a cup of tea by the window. The Apothecary Diaries fits just as well, with Maomao solving mysteries about poisons and herbs at the imperial court. It goes perfectly with the Maomao mug for The Apothecary Diaries fans and, to lean on, the The Apothecary Diaries Maomao and Jinshi cushion.

For good vibes, there is Spy x Family. A family made up of a spy, an assassin and a girl who can read minds. Only the little one knows everyone's secrets. Hot chocolate comes in the Spy x Family Anya Forger emotion mug. Peanuts on the side are mandatory, Anya insists. If you like it more exciting, watch Jujutsu Kaisen and hang a Jujutsu Kaisen cat ear mystery plush bag charm on your bag. You will find more in our Jujutsu Kaisen merch. And for anyone who simply needs something familiar, there is One Piece: over a thousand episodes that will fill even the longest winter.
Winter in anime: Drum Island and Chopper
Hardly any anime scene fits winter as well as Chopper's story on Drum Island. On the snowy island, the little reindeer meets Dr. Hiriluk, who dreams of making cherry blossoms bloom in the snow. In the end, Dr. Kureha makes his dream come true and the snow above the island glows pink. Keep the tissues handy.
If you can't let go of Chopper afterwards, take the One Piece Tony Chopper plush figure 31 cm onto the sofa with you. It is big enough to cuddle and small enough for the spot right next to you. And if you are still looking for little gifts for anime fans, have a look at my list of Secret Santa gifts for fans.
